                                            Political Behavior of Population in Songpeenong

Municipality, Suphanburi Province.

The purposes of this study were to examine political behavior of population in Songpeenong Municipality, Suphanburi Province, and to compare the different political behavior of population in Songpeenong Municipality, Suphanburi Province according to different personal factors.  The samples were composed of 400 individuals who were eligible for election. All of them were 18 years old and over who resided in Songpeenong Municipality, Suphanburi Province. Data were collected by a questionnaire and analyzed by using a statistical software. Statistical tools used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and One-way ANOVA, with statistical level of significance at 0.05

The results of this study showed that the political behavior of population in Songpeenong Municipality, Suphanburi Province was at a moderate level      ( = 2.36). When each aspect was considered, it was found that voting for election, and following political news and updates, were also at a moderate level       ( = 3.18, 2.73, respectively). However, expressing political opinions, being involved in the political activities, and contacting with politicians were found to be at a low level ( = 2.23, 2.09, 1.74, respectively). Moreover, the hypothesis testing indicated that gender and age did not significantly influence their political behaviors. On the other hand, the educational level, type of career, and income significantly affected their political behaviors.

พฤติกรรมทางการเมืองของประชาชนในเทศบาลเมืองสองพี่น้อง

                การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาระดับพฤติกรรมทางการเมืองของประชาชนในเทศบาลเมืองสองพี่น้อง จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี และเปรียบเทียบพฤติกรรมทางการเมืองของประชาชนในเทศบาลเมืองสองพี่น้อง จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี จำแนกตามปัจจัยส่วนบุคคล กลุ่มตัวอย่างในการศึกษาคือ ประชาชนผู้มีสิทธิเลือกตั้ง คือ ที่มีอายุ 18 ปีบริบูรณ์ขึ้นไป ในเทศบาลเมืองสองพี่น้อง จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี จำนวน 400 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการรวบรวมข้อมูลคือ แบบสอบถามแบบมาตรประมาณค่า 5 ระดับ และวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยคอมพิวเตอร์ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลคือ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ค่า t-test และ One-Way ANOVA โดยกำหนดค่านัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05

            ผลการศึกษาพบว่า พฤติกรรมการทางการเมืองของประชาชนในเทศบาลเมืองสองพี่น้อง จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี อยู่ในระดับปานกลาง ( = 2.36) เมื่อแยกพิจารณาเป็นรายด้าน พบว่า     ด้านการลงคะแนนเสียงเลือกตั้ง และด้านการติดตามข่าวสารทางการเมือง อยู่ในระดับปานกลาง ( = 3.18, 2.73 ตามลำดับ) ส่วนด้านการแสดงออกซึ่งความคิดเห็นทางการเมือง ด้าน    การมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมือง และด้านการติดต่อสัมพันธ์กับนักการเมือง อยู่ในระดับน้อย        ( = 2.23, 2.09 และ 1.74 ตามลำดับ) ผลการทดสอบสมมติฐาน พบว่า ประชาชนในเทศบาลเมืองสองพี่น้อง จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี ที่มีปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลอันได้แก่ เพศ และอายุ แตกต่างกัน มีพฤติกรรมการทางการเมืองไม่แตกต่างกัน แต่ประชาชนที่มี ระดับการศึกษา อาชีพ และรายได้ แตกต่างกัน มีพฤติกรรมการทางการเมือง แตกต่างกัน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ ที่ระดับ 0.05
